This is the year… part 2

As I said earlier, I love this time of
year… a chance to dream and vision some goals for 2010…

For the sake of accountability and
reminding myself throughout this year… here are some goals for this
coming year that I have personally and for the church that God has
called me to plant and lead (that would be Oasis Church!).

Personal:

  • know Jeanine (my wife) more… go on dates, meaningful conversation, be a student of her (and not rely on past memories!)… I want to be closer to her a year from now
  • eat healthier (think less fried food) and work out more… aim to put on calendar and accomplish something like a run of some sort… go to dentist and doctor as part of being health
  • periodically fast from meat/ sugar / tv for the sake of health and spiritual growth…desire God and hearing from Him more then these things…
  • study/ read/ put into practice raising my boys to be leaders
  • grow as a leader… read 25 books on growing teams, church and on leading teams, church
  • budget, plan, and reduce personal debt by minimum 30%
  • read and meditate through Bible in 2010… intentionally pray for 52 hours in 2010…
  • Invest in real estate… start something new entrepreneurial

Oasis Church:

  • invest in leaders… read Bible together, build relationships, release ministry
  • double opportunities to worship, connect, and serve
  • begin to intentionally minister to students – middle and high school
  • budget and challenge towards vision
  • incorporate and non-profit status
  • start another non-profit
  • mission trip somewhere in world
  • support another church plant
  • begin to formulate church membership
  • to grow to 210 average attendance in 2010

So, there you go… what about you? What do your goals look like?
