I love this time of year… I really
do! But specifically, I love the idea and opportunity that is on us
at this time… a NEW year! The way I'm wired, and what gets me
pumped, is thinking and dreaming about the big picture, the big idea,
the big vision… and the week leading up to January 1 is filled with
dreaming about the possibilities of what could happen, what God might
do, what changes might occur, what dreams might come true in 2010!
I'm telling, that gets my blood flowing!

Now, I know you're probably thinking…
“Resolutions?? Been there, tried that, and I never keep them… in
fact, this year I don't want to break any, so I won't make any!”

I want to encourage you… don't give
in to that line of thinking! This is a new year, a new start, a new
beginning… don't let what happen in previous years discourage from
dreaming, praying, considering what could happen this year… go for
it!

In fact, at Oasis Church, our first
series of 2010 has to do with some of the things that may be
confining us in our lives (think along the lines of areas like
bitterness, anger, pride, etc…). We may have allowed these things
to define us and maybe we have begun to think “this is just who I
am”… NO! That is a trap and lie that we keep falling for… this
is the time to BREAK FREE and go in a new direction. I invite
you to come to Oasis Church every Sunday in January and find the hope
and freedom to change in 2010!
