A few weeks ago, I got a call from the religion editor of the newspaper up here in Jacksonville, called the Times-Union. He saw one of our Facebook ads and noticed that we were a new church and that we will be meeting in a theater. So he took me out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel (love it!) and that is where I met Jeff. He asked some questions and I was able to share a little bit about what Oasis Church will be about…
That weekend, he and a photographer came to our last preview service…and he saw us set-up, tear-down, and worship together in a movie theater… and was able to interact with our incredible team. He was also able to meet another church that is meeting in the theater with us…I guess I should say we are meeting with them as they have been there for a few years!
Tonight, I saw online that our article was on the paper's website…free publicity just in time for our launch this weekend! Wow!
Tomorrow, it will be in the actual paper…can't wait to see what God does next!
