Church to out ex-member’s ‘sexually immoral relationship’ | Jacksonville.com.

Came across this article today on the newspaper website…some thoughts I have…

-she is worried about being “humilitated” in front of her church and yet, she talks about this to the NEWS! Now, all of North Florida knows her “humiliating” story…

-in my nearly 35 years of living and being in church most of that time, I have NEVER been part of a church that practiced Biblical church discipline…why is that? By real, I mean that the members all knew about something and steps were taken to remove membership status or restore the repentant person who had sinned against Jesus and the church…

-does it show more love to discipline or ignore and let the problem lay there or worse, send the problem to another church?

-now, I am not saying this church will handle it Biblically or that they have handled themselves totally well…may not be the BEST thing to have it scheduled on the first Sunday of the year! And probably something only the members should deal with not the whole church body…
